General description
细胞可渗透的超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）模拟物。即使在存在过量EDTA的情况下，也能催化O2– •的歧化（速率常数约为4 x 107 M-1 s-1）。可以替代缺乏这种酶的大肠埃希菌突变体中的SOD。MnTMPyP在体内充当NADPH/GSH：O2•氧化还原酶，而不是SOD模拟物。当氧化还原剂与生物抗氧化剂偶联时，也是一种有效的过氧亚硝酸盐还原酶。
