General description
α-生育酚乙酸酯是天然存在 α-生育酚的半合成醋酸酯。
Application
（+）-α生育酚乙酸酯用于：
- 作为补充剂，用于培养人胚胎肾细胞（HEK 293），评估其对细胞生长的影响
- 作为组成成分，用于Dulbecco′s改良Eagle培养基/营养混合物F-12（DMEM / F12），培养永生化软骨细胞系
- 作为无血清培养基成分，用于培养人类结肠组织器官
- 试验其对牛关节软骨细胞的抗氧化作用
在昆虫细胞培养中用作抗氧化剂。
Biochem/physiol Actions
α-生育酚乙酸酯或维生素E-乙酸酯具有抗氧化性能，减少脂质过氧化。不过，维生素E乙酸酯热分解会导致产生烯烃和苯之类致癌物。
Disclaimer
因为熔点约为 25℃，所以这种制剂通常是油。不发生空气氧化。
