Clone REAL1062 is an antibody fragment derived from the full RPS6 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL1062 recognizes the RPS6 (Ribosomal Protein S6) antigen, also known as Phosphoprotein NP33, a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit and is therefore involved in proliferation through the selective translation of particular classes of mRNA. RPS6 plays important roles in ribosome biogenesis, protein translation, cell growth (increase in cell mass/volume), DNA repair, apoptosis, cell differentiation, and glucose metabolism in both normal and cancer cells.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
