Clone REAL1441 is an antibody fragment derived from the full S100A9 (MRP14) antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL1441 recognizes the human S100A9 (MRP14) antigen, a calcium- and zinc-binding protein also known as S100A9 or Calgranulin-B. S100A9 (MRP14) is mainly expressed in myeloid cells, e.g. MDSCs, neutrophils, monocytes, and plays an important role in the regulation of inflammatory processes and immune response. MRP14 is involved in neutrophil chemotaxis, adhesion, and is able to increase the bactericidal activity of neutrophils.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
