General description
Recombinant, mouse Dickkopf related protein 1 (Dkk-1) consisting of amino acids 30-272 and expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cells. Inhibits Wnt-3a-induced alkaline phosphatase production by MC3T3-E1 mouse osteoblastic cells. ND50 = 0.02-0.1 µg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ND₅₀ = 0.02-0.1 µg/ml, in the presence of 10 ng/ml of rmWnt-3a, as measured by its ability to inhibit Wnt-3a-inducedalkaline phosphatase production by MC3T3-E1 mouse osteoblastic cells.
Physical form
Lyophilized from 0.2 µm sterile-filtered PBS, BSA.
Preparation Note
Following reconstitution refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 4°C or for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute to 100 µg/ml in PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
