Potent and highly selective TrpV6 (CaT1, ECaC2) inhibitor that selectively inhibits the growth of TrpV6-expressing, but not TrpV6-negative cancer cultures.
cis-22a is a potent and highly selective TrpV6 (CaT1, ECaC2) inhibitor (Cd2⁺ influx IC50 = 320 nM; hTRPV6 transfected HEK293) with much reduced and little potency against other calcium channels and related TRP targets. cis-22a selectively inhibits the growth of TrpV6-expressing breast cancer T47D (IC50 = 25 μM), but not TrpV6-negative ovarian carcinoma SKOV3 cultures (IC50 >50 μM).
