抗 p16 INK 抗体可检测内源性 p16 INK 总蛋白水平。
细胞周期素依赖性激酶抑制剂2A（CDKN2A）也称P16-INK4A，属于CDK抑制剂Ink4（CDK4抑制剂）家族。由位于人类染色体9p21上在INK4a/可选读码框(ARF)位点内的基因编码。人P16-INK4A在细胞核与细胞质中均有分布，在皮肤和肾脏组织中的表达随着年龄的增加而上升。

Biochem/physiol Actions
细胞周期素依赖性激酶抑制剂2A（CDKN2A）也称P16-INK4A，它通过抑制S期阻止细胞周期进程，并促进细胞凋亡。该编码蛋白具有抗增殖生物活性，并与视网膜母细胞瘤（Rb）蛋白通路有关。P16-INK4A是一种肿瘤抑制剂，在老化和细胞衰老中起着至关重要的作用。该蛋白表达的增加可能导致各种**别癌症（high grade cance）。 P16-INK4A 也促进细胞侵袭和血管生成。支气管灌洗P16INK4A促进剂的甲基化可作为肺癌诊断的潜在生物标志物。
