Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0271 maps to a region between residue 100 and 150 of human General Transcription Factor IIB using the numbering given in entry NP_001505.1 (GeneID 2959).
Physical form
Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
GTF2B/TFIIB (General transcription factor IIB) is one of the ubiquitous factors required for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II. GTF2B/TFIIB localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. Transcription factor IIB serves as a bridge between IID, the factor which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2959)].
