BRD7586 is a cell-permeable, and potent anti-CRISPR agent. BRD7586is a potent and selective inhibitor of SpCas9. It potently inhibits SpCas9 in both HEK293T and U2OS.eGFP.PEST cells without altering its expression, or induction of cytotoxicity. BRD7586 enhanced the specificity of SpCas9. BRD7586 inhibits genome editing at diverse endogenous loci. It is twofold more potent than BRD0539.
