SIS17 is a potent and selective HDAC11 inhibitor (IC50 = 830 nM; IC50 >100 μM against HDAC1/4/8 or SIRT1/2/3/6) that effectively upregulates HDAC11 substrate, serine hydroxymethyl transferase 2 (SHMT2), fatty acylation level in MCF7 cells (12.5 μM).
