Dinaciclib (SCH 727965) is a potent and selective cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor (CDK1/2/5/6/7/9 IC50 = 3/1/1/12/7/4 nM; Little or no inhibition of 41 other kinases at 10 μM) with potent antiproliferation activity in A2780 ovarian cancer cultures (IC50 = 4 nM by thymidine uptake assays). Dinaciclib exhibits potent anti-cancer efficacy in cultures (IC50 = 6-17 nM against 14 cancer cell lines) and in an A2780 tumor xenograft model in mice in vivo (8-48 mg/kg via daily i.p.).
