Orally active beta-adrenergic receptor (βAR1/2, bAR1/2) antagonist (β blocker, beta blocker) with additional soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) inhibitory potency.
Talinolol is an orally active beta blocker (β blocker) with in vivo antihypertensive efficacy. In addition to its beta-adrenergic receptor (βAR, bAR) antagonist potency (βAR1/2 Ki = 0.24/0.9 μM), talinolol is also reported to exhibit inhibitory side-activity against soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH IC50 = 2.8 μM).
