- 培养硕大利什曼原虫(Leishmania major)，用于原虫生长抑制试验
- 接种纯化动合子和黑腹果蝇(Drosophila melanogaster)S2细胞，研究阿维菌素化合物对细胞发育的影响并促进卵母细胞发育
原为果蝇培养而开发；也适用于其他双翅类细胞系的培养。
