General description
Interleukin-17A/F (IL-17A/F) is a heterodimeric cytokine formed by the combination of IL-17A and IL-17F subunits, both of which are produced primarily by Th17 cells. This cytokine plays a significant role in mediating inflammatory responses and is involved in the recruitment of neutrophils and other immune cells to sites of inflammation. IL-17A/F is implicated in various autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammatory conditions, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for managing such disorders.
Application
Inflammatory Disease / Immune Response / Autoimmune Disease
Features and Benefits
- Specific Detection of IL-17A/F Heterodimer: Enables accurate quantification of the biologically distinct IL-17A/F complex, which plays a unique role in Th17-mediated inflammation and autoimmune disease.
- Ultra-Sensitive Quantification via SMC®Technology: Supports early detection of immune activation, especially in diseases where IL-17A/F is present at low levels, such as psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, and IBD.
- Verified for Human Serum and Plasma: Demonstrates high recovery rates (88–101%) in spiked human samples.
Packaging
96 well assay
Analysis Note
- Sensitivity: LLOQ 2,340 fg/mL* (SMCxPRO® Instrument)
- Standard Curve Range: 590-600,000 fg/mL
- Intra-assay CV: <15%
- Inter-assay CV: <20%
- Linearity: Serum: 106% Plasma: 111%
- Recovery: Serum: 101% Plasma: 88%
Other Notes
Although IL-17A/F Heterodimer was detectable in non-human primates, monkey and canine samples, the assay has not been verified for these species.
