Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0300 maps to a region between residue 1531 and 1581 of human Cofactor Required for Sp1 Transcriptional Activation 1/Thyroid Hormone Receptor-Associated Protein Complex Component using the numbering given in entry NP_004765.2 (GeneID 5469).
Physical form
Tris-citrate/phosphate buffer, pH 7 to 8 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
CSP1/TRAP220 is a component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q15648].
