Chemical probe for CECR2/BPTF bromodomains
TP-238 is a chemical probe for CECR2 (cat eye syndrome chromosome region, candidate 2), a gene expressed in the nervous system involved in neurulation, and for BPTF bromodomains. It has an activity of 10-30 nM with CECR2 and 100-350 nM with BPTF. TP-238 showed an IC₅₀ of 30nM against CECR2 and 350nM against BPTF in an alphascreen assay and a KD of 10nM for CECR2 and 120nM for BPTF by ITC. The structurally related negative control TP-422 is completely inactive against BPTF and CECR2.
